First you should know, if you say something like "Hey, can we be friends?", it (mostly) always goes wrong. You can't just ask people if you can be their friend (in my opinion of course), because that's just... stupid.
A friendship doesn't come up like this. It takes time to build up, it needs to grow. Just be nice and kind (like you should always be) and try not to force people, it just gets worse lol. You can also write a vidder here on ask or something else to one fandom/topic that maybe you both like.
